September 1 Update from Superintendent
In the past few weeks, Cybertip.ca has seen a rise in reports from youth involving sextortion. These cases have involved offenders (posing as teenagers) secretly recording teenagers exposing themselves online and then threatening to share the sexual content if they don't pay money (often hundreds of dollars) to the individual.
In response to this emerging issue of concern, the Canadian Centre for Child Protection has issued a Cybertip.ca Alert for parents as well as a tip sheet on how parents can talk to youth about online extortion:

Class Schedules and Locker Information
If you did not receive an information package (including student timetables, a letter from Mr. Pusic, the school calendar, the Student registration form and student medical form) at the end of August, please contact the school. Since being mailed out, there may have been some changes to Student Timetables. Please note that students will receive an updated timetable on the first day of classes
Locker selection is now open for all students. If you have any problems logging in, please contact Mr. Pue. Students are able to choose their own locker by logging on to www.acss.lockerassignment.com. In order to login, students will need to know their student number (this is on their timetable) and birthdate.
Students are reminded that they should be the only person using their locker and MUST use the lock that is provided by the school. As well, students are encouraged to not share their combinations with other students. Any changes in locker assignment after the first week of school, must be arranged through the office.
